Why will there be such harsh judgment in the end times?
Why does a good God allow so much evil and pain?
Imagine you are a husband, and someone falsely accuses your wife or shouts in her face lifting his fists...what would you do? Even worse, what if he hit her? Or even kidnap her and torture her? What would you do? Would you just sit there and do nothing? I'm sure he won't even get to the hitting part because if someone just dare looking at your wife in the wrong way you're already on alert. Did you make the man attack your wife? Did you allow him to hit her? I'm sure not. He chose to do it out of his own free will. Now, this is Jesus' position at the end of the age. People has been persecuting and killing His church, His bride, since day one. He has been sitting silently watching all this, for over 2000 years.
Imagine you're a dad and someone hurts your little girl. Will you allow her to be hurt and do nothing? No? You will actually get beside yourself and do things that might get you in prison. Abba is in this position right now.
But wait...why have God been doing almost nothing about it for 2000 years? Because the Bible says, God want ALL to repent and live! He did something you wouldn't do in your own human strength. God didn't just kill the criminal right away because while His bride is being tortured, she and God is begging the persecutor to repent.
2 Peter 3:9 KJV
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
God gave men free will. They choose to do evil. But what does God do when they refuse to repent? THERE HAS TO BE RIGHETOUSNESS AND CONSEQUENCES FOR SIN. It's not about the man that is being killed because he killed a girl. It's about the innocent girl receiving justice for the wrong done to her. We wonder why God allow these people to be killed and go to hell, but we often forget the evil they did to deserve it and God's patience in giving them chance to repent, over and over again but they refused.
So, in the end times, when the gospel has been preached to everyone and people refused to repent, but wholeheartedly kept on sinning, they will die in judgment because the wage of sin is death. Because people refuse God's mercy, they will have to reap what they sowed in sin.
Romans 6:23 KJV
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Mattew 24:14 KJV
And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
