Why do good people suffer ?

We ask why God allow good people to suffer and with that we probably mean someone who isn't murdering people or cheating taxes. Someone who always does "the right thing". But according to God no one is good. Our definition of good is flawed.

Romans 3:10-12 KJV

As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

Since men are not born inherently good, the one who suffers is not good, so God does not allow good people to suffer. The Bible says ALL has sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23) Suffering and evil are in the earth because of our sin. We deserve it all. In His mercy God came to save us from the suffering we deserve. All we have to do is believe in Jesus and repent.

Jhon 3:16-18 KJV

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Those who do not believe in Jesus is already condemned, simply because they do not believe. The only way to not be condemned is to believe in Jesus Christ.

Hebrews 11:6

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Without faith it is impossible to please God. When people hear the gospel and refuse to believe that Jesus died to save them from sin and repent, they will live with the choice they made. No one is good, only God and unless someone receives the free gift of salvation, which is Jesus' own goodness imparted to them, unless they receive that, they remain sinful and the wages (price you pay for) of sin is death.

At the end of the age when everyone has had many chances to repent, but refuses to repent then suffering, lack, betrayal, war and death will be the harvest. But God's children are not appointed to wrath💃🏻🎶 hallelujah! Praise God.
