The winepress of God, good news?

 Isaiah 63:1-4 KJV

Who is this that cometh from Edom with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in his apparel, travelling in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save. Wherefore art thou red in thine apparel and thy garments like him that treadeth in the winefat?I have trodden the winepress alone and of the people there was none with me: for I will tread them in mine anger and trample them in my fury and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will stain all my raiment. For the day of vengeance is in mine heart and the year of my redeemed is come.

Here the prophet is in Israel seeing Yeshua coming from Bozrah (in modern day Jordan) and His clothes is dripping with blood! He asks Yeshua why His clothses is drenched in blood and He answers that He was treading down His enemies. All His clothes are stained by the blood of His enemies. This is known as the great winepress of God. In Revelation we also see Jesus coming with blood on His clothes.

Revelation 19:13 KJV

And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

Revelation 14:20

And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.

The winepress of God will be when Jesus comes back, there will be a huge area where He will destroy those who rebelled against him and served the antichrist. The Lord will do this out of love for His creation, not hate. By destroying His enemies, He is removing everything that hinders love. Now because all evil will be out the way, we can live in freedom, safety and love.

Genesis 49:8-12 KJV

Judah, thou art he whom thy brethren shall praise: thy hand shall be in the neck of thine enemies; thy father's children shall bow down before thee. Judah is a lion's whelp: from the prey, my son, thou art gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up? The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come and unto him shall the gathering of the people be. Binding his foal unto the vine and his ass's colt unto the choice vine; he washed his garments in wine and his clothes in the blood of grapes:His eyes shall be red with wine and his teeth white with milk.

Here is one of the first descriptions of messiah in the Bible, He is described with garments washed in wine and His clothes in blood of grapes. He is coming to destroy His enemies. Yeshua is physically coming back as a Man, to kill those who did not submit to His Kingship. As easily and effortless as a grape is squashed under your foot, so effortlessly He will destroy the wicked.

Isaiah 42:13-14

The LORD shall go forth as a mighty man, he shall stir up jealousy like a man of war: he shall cry, yea, roar; he shall prevail against his enemies. I have long time holden my peace; I have been still, and refrained myself: now will I cry like a travailing woman; I will destroy and devour at once.

This is part of the Gospel. This is good news because the devil will be defeated forever, and God's people will live in freedom and righteousness without persecution! God is not only gentle in His fatherhood, but also a man of war when it comes to protecting his children. We can rest knowing that the powers of darkness and evil men is nothing compared to our God. As easily as a grape is squashed under your foot, so effortlessly God will crush the powers of Satan.
